Chapter V

The Earth

The earth is in the goldilocks zone. Not too far from the sun. Not too close. But just right. Earth has the fortuitous circumstance of being located in this zone. Before we jump into calculating the probability of this being the case, allow me to offer some insight into calculating probabilities. You see, it doesn't make sense to calculate the probability of an event after it already occurred. If earth weren't in the goldilocks zone, we wouldn't exist. You wouldn't be reading this document because you wouldn't exist. The probability of the earth having the perfect conditions for life is 1 (i.e. 100%). Because it already happened.

It does however make sense to calculate this probability if we were seeking to find life elsewhere in our universe. In this scenario, the calculation matters a great deal. So in a way, it does make sense for us to calculate this probability. Many have already done this and let's just refer to their work now.

Why Earth Is Suspiciously Perfect For Life

There will never be any proof of God. But it's getting a little ridiculous at this point to deny that an Intelligence didn't have something to do with the universe's construction and our location within it.

QED.
